Tan, Po Li

Po Li Tan

Po Li has more than 35 years of providing professional adult development, training, mentoring, coaching and teaching groups and individual adults from various backgrounds, cultures countries, including in Malaysia, Singapore, UK, China. She has experience working as an educational developer for King’s College London, United Kingdom universities in Beijing. When in China, her work focuses on developing talents and leaders for multinationals in China SEA for Global leadership.

Her training/coaching philosophy is shaped by the Chinese Middle Way (中庸) and her diverse experience of living and working in several countries.

Originally from Malaysia, Po Li obtained her PhD, specializing in Adult Learning, Educational Psychology Cross-Cultural Psychology from Faculty of Education, Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia. Her current research interests range from ‘Mentoring Coaching for personal development’, ‘Global Leadership’ ‘Happiness Well Being at Work’ and ‘Mindful Leadership’.

Po Li is an avid learner. She constantly learns to grow and hence is certified in The Leadership Circle LCP 360 Profile, Manager Edition, LCS Leadership Culture Survey and The Leadership System, Points of You Coaching Tool, Talent Q International, Cross-Cultural Coach, Intercultural Development Inventory, Gallup Strength Finder Assessment and latest being The BodyTalk Healing Modality.

Po Li founded a charity project called Inspiring Dance Project in Beijing in 2015, with a mission to empower youth in China, with the positive energy of dance to inspire self-confidence self-esteem in their daily lives. The bigger aim behind this is for better employment possibilities, and feeling supported in pursuing their dreams.
