Bina Venkataraman will also be joining us on the final day of the conference. Bina was Barack Obama’s climate advisor, is the current head of the Boston Globe editorial board, and has taught at MIT. During the conference, Bina will share the science of foresight. As we close out our conference, we will learn from Bina how to bring a better future into sight, and into our lives today.
Bina Venkataraman is an American journalist, author, and policy expert. She is currently the Editorial Page Editor of The Boston Globe and a fellow at New America. She formerly served as Senior Advisor for Climate Change Innovation in the Obama White House. Since 2011, Venkataraman has taught in the program on science, technology, and society at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She is the author of The Optimist’s Telescope: Thinking Ahead in a Reckless Age, which was named a top business book by The Financial Times and a best book of 2019 by Amazon, Science Friday, and National Public Radio.
