They will share their model with the acronym MOVE to pull together insights that will be useful to you. M - Learn to be mindfully alert like an elite athlete O - Find the power of options and always having four ways to win V - Finding and validating your ideal vantage point E - Learn to engage and effect change They will walk you through cases and ways that people have overcome challenges in real time to find the winning moves when stakes are high.

Humanocracy: Unleashing the power of human ingenuity at work
Most large organizations are still bureaucratic at their core — hierarchical, authoritarian, and rule-choked. Until this changes, our organizations will continue to be timid, inertial, and incremental. There is, however, an alternative. In healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, and other industries, one can now find a small number of vanguard organizations that are proving it is possible to run large, complex institutions with a minimum of bureaucracy. These management renegades are resilient, empowering, and enjoy substantial productivity advantages. In his presentation, Gary will outline practical strategies for making the jump from bureaucracy to humanocracy, and describe how inspired coaches can play a pivotal role in building organizations that are fit for the future an fit for human beings.

Beyond the Absence of Disease: Communication, Health and Well-being
Despite major advances in the science of positive health and well-being, the dominant discourse in the public arena and in the industry has been to focus on physical and mental health as distinct areas of health promotion and interventions. Yet both are closely inter-related and, an integrated approach to health and well-being is considered more effective. This talk will focus on positive health science, its determinants and the need for translation to influence policy and practice. Coaches can apply the emerging science in coaching conversations and programs now, and help accelerate mindset transformation in healthcare and beyond.

Are coaching dogmas holding us back?
What are the most frequently expressed needs of leaders in their coaching? You might be surprised to hear that it is not what leadership competencies frameworks, or some definitions of coaching suggest. In this fire-side conversation Professor Tatiana Bachkirova of Oxford Brookes University and Angela Passarelli, director of research at the Institute of Coaching, will discuss challenging findings of Tatiana’s latest research project. In questioning other coaching dogmas, they will also touch on ideas which might need to be reconsidered, e.g., one authentic self to discover, one way of seeing the purpose of coaching, one main underpinning science behind our craft and any other that you are interested to include in this conversation.
11:15 am to 12:30 pm EST
Vision of Excellence Award & How Do We Know What Our Clients Need From Us?
For 150 years behavior change has been guided by normative categories but for nearly 100 of those years we should have known that was a mistake. In this talk Dr. Hayes will show how a focus on processes of change reveals this fundamental error and how the field is now preparing to correct it using ""idionomic"" methods. Stated simply if we want to know what our clients need from us we need to stop treating human beings as error terms and instead adopt a view that every human voice deserves to be heard. He will show concrete new methods for doing just that.

The Power of Age and Generational Diversity For Coaches
It’s well documented that having a diverse workforce is very critical to an organization’s performance, productivity and profitability. However, there is an area of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) that is often overlooked — but extremely relevant to all professionals and the coaching industry at large. And that is AGE. Also, mentorship is the cornerstone of personal and career growth. From the “experience rich” leader (Boomer/Gen X), to the “emerging professional” (Millennials/Gen Z) — every generation has a quiver of invaluable insights and perspectives that can benefit each other. This is why mutual mentoring between generations should be reinforced and embraced in the workplace. Let’s have a multi-generational conversation about it!

When further examining this gap, Dr. Williams has discovered a breakdown in communication and disconnects at the individual and systems level that stifle progress. In this keynote address, she will discuss these evidence-based trends and propose how to leverage these insights to build more effective inclusion strategies.
