2021: Questioning A ‘New Normal’

Please join Eileen Coskey Fracchia, Managing Principal of El Camino Group and IOC Strategy Advisor, Founding Fellow and West Coast Roundtable leader for our 15th West Coast Roundtable on Thursday, 12/10, 8:00 -10:00am PST, via Zoom.  Charlotte Saulny, Joan Freedman, Robin Stueber, and Susan Mahoney, will serve as our event host committee, while we explore the topic of : ‘2021: Questioning A 'New Normal.’

Our Roundtable 15 topic: ‘2021: Questioning A ‘New Normal’ is laced with much nuance. What stands out to you as the key word… Questioning? A? New? Normal?

What does it mean to ‘question’?... How will we know if the QUESTION is answered? A year ago (at Roundtable #12),  we were discussing ‘the future of coaching: a changing landscape’, so... what's NEW this year?  And NORMAL... is that synonymous with REALITY? Is Abnormal the new Normal?  And is there just 1 ‘new normal’… ‘A’, or are there many?

A delicious palate of choices for us to discuss, and we will, as a community group and in smaller groups. The Host committee members will lead those smaller group discussions – each having some data and activity to support the topic and creating space to share additional learnings and approaches/frameworks colleagues are now observing and utilizing — when Questioning A 'New Normal' and how to use these learnings as a resource to move forward in our practices. At the conclusion of those groups, we will come back together to share the best practices output and wrap up.

Eileen and the host committee are committed to the IOC mission -to disseminate the best coaching science and empower you to catalyze positive change in yourself, your community, and the world around you. Our intent is to use this RoundTable as a vehicle for each of us to move into 2021 — with a bit more courage, confidence and connectedness to our professions as coaches and as a community dedicated to be of service to our clients and each other.

2021: Questioning A ‘New Normal’. We hope you find this as interesting as we do and chose to play.

If you have questions or need additional information, please email Eileen Fracchia or Tiffany Dally.

Roundtable meetings promise:

  • A marketing-free, inclusive, and peer-based learning space for coaches to learn about and share new coaching concepts and research.
  • A community of coaching professionals to provide peer coaching and support for developing the “growing edge” of our respective capabilities.
  • Ways to apply the resources available through the IOC to real coaching situations through case consultation and group seminars.
  • The format is a series of three to four 2-hour events over the course of the year. Each session includes a topic facilitated by an IOC member, discussion of practice and application with that topic, along with case consultation and peer coaching depending on the topic and needs of the group.
