Speaker:  Jacinta M. Jiménez, PsyD, BCC

It is no secret that burnout has become a widespread epidemic. In fact, a recent Deloitte survey found that 77% of respondents have experienced burnout in their current job, and in May 2019, the World Health Organization recognized burnout as an occupational phenomenon. With the onset of COVID-19, the blurry boundary between work and life has become non-existent overnight, leaving many even more susceptible to burnout.  Accordingly, it is more important than ever to learn how to identify burnout and especially, how to buffer against it. Drawing from her deep knowledge of human behavior, Stanford University-trained psychologist and Board Certified Leadership Coach, Dr. Jacinta M. Jiménez, will deliver a presentation to reveal 3 key science-backed steps to address burnout in uncertain times:

  • Recognize: What exactly is burnout and how to monitor for it.
  • Respond: Strategies and tips for recovery from burnout.
  • Replenish: How to leverage pro-resilience practices to buffer against burnout.

Audience members will come away with a better understanding of:

  • The myths and truths of burnout
  • What is the science-backed definition of burnout and how to identify it in your clients
  • The 6 science-backed mismatches between the demands of work and one’s capacities as humans that have been found in research to lead to burnout
  • A 3-step process to help your clients buffer against burnout
