As AI accelerates the pace of work and reshapes how organizations create value, the defining leadership challenge is not simply how to adopt new technology—it is how to remain deeply human while everything around us speeds up. Greater speed and capability do not reduce a leader’s responsibility; they change where that responsibility lives. As more effort can be delegated to machines, leaders must become even more deliberate about where they remain present: making meaning, exercising judgment, weighing consequences, and taking authorship of the choices made in their name.
In this session, Franziska Gonder will explore a human-first approach to leadership grounded in neuroscience, somatic awareness, and relational practice. Through Unreasonably Human, Franziska and her team have supported Fortune 100 C-suites, leaders of pioneering AI companies, and organizations including the World Bank and the University of Chicago. Their broader body of work has also intersected with initiatives involving Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Drawing on this experience, she will examine how leaders’ internal states shape the systems around them, why acceleration can intensify reactive patterns, and how leaders can use AI to expand their capabilities without outsourcing their judgment, voice, or responsibility.
Participants will leave with a practical framework for recognizing their patterns under pressure, shifting from reactive to responsive leadership, and discerning what technology can accelerate—and what must remain deeply human. The session offers an invitation to see humanity not as something to protect from the acceleration era, but as the source of the discernment, accountability, and original thinking required to lead within it.
