Dr. Schwab is a certified coach and maintains a private coaching practice serving physicians in many specialties. His clients have included physicians at all stages of their careers – newly trained doctors struggling with the realities of practice, mid-career doctors seeking career development – or working through various performance problems, and later-career docs seeking a productive conclusion and transition. He has been the coach member of those sponsored PHS coaching agreements. He is also conducting coaching research sponsored through the Institute of Coaching about the utility of a brief (6-session) coaching intervention to improve well-being, reduce burnout and intentions to leave practice – the preliminary results are encouraging!
