The Educator as Coach

The more I coach in schools the more I realize the benefits of coaching in creating significant change and in promoting educational systems.

The more people in school work using coaching skills attitude and coaching tools the more the momentum of improvement and change accelerates-
Dr. Gilli Beskin

The educator as coach presents you the educator a principal or school manager with a detailed 12 week coaching program easy to follow and ready to use. The program is designed to assist you as you work closely in a coaching framework with your team member. It consists of explanations of methods and activities for you to carryout and experience and then to lead your coachee. In addition to the advantages for yourself the time you invest personally for your subordinate's professional development will foster her/his working mode and performance will help your coachee achieve desired results; improving learning outcomes within your joint responsibility. In doing so you will not become a professional coach. However the coaching attitude is something I beleave to be part of educators' DNA. The more you coach the better you will become at coaching and you will help produce excellent performance and learning outcomes for yourself your team your students and school.
