Change at work and beyond comes at us faster and faster every week. We wake to new waves of uncertainty in the news and in our inbox. The human mind did not evolve to thrive in this context, and yet here we are, seeking meaning and achievement in an unnatural environment of our own creation. Behavioral science on performance and potential from the last few decades - the last ten years in particular, as the magnitude of uncertainty has become clear - lights the path forward.
In this series tailored for coaches, Gabriella Rosen Kellerman MD builds off the science in her book Tomorrowmind , co-authored with Prof Marty Seligman, on the meta-skills essential for success in our uncertain era of work. Learn from the original research Kellerman and Seligman and their labs have conducted for seven years on this topic to provide clarity on which psychological skills allow us to thrive and how to build them for ourselves and our clients. Go beyond the pages of Tomorrowmind into coaching exercises developed to bring science from the lab into the coaching conversation, and into the daily working lives of clients.

Building Resilience in the Whitewater World of Work
This session focuses first and foremost on defining the nature of change around us as John Seely Brown's Whitewater World of Work. We have to understand the contours of our challenge before we can accept it and move forward. From there we will move to an in depth and up-to-the-minute exploration of the science of resilience: what it is, what determines individual levels of resilience, why it's essential, and how to build it. This foundational skill sets the stage for all other aspects of a Tomorrowmind.

Mattering and Rapid Rapport
This session takes us from resilience into the next two PRISM skills, mattering and social connection, by way of rapid rapport. Mattering is the bare minimum level of motivation we all must feel in our work, including coaches. The whitewater threatens it in a myriad of ways, and leaders must rise to the challenge of protecting it for their teams. Social connection is equally essential for thriving in uncertainty, both because it is critical for our wellbeing and because modern work happens with others. But geographic distance, unfamiliarity, and a lack of time constitute immovable obstacles to connection. Rapid rapport is a method of connecting despite these barriers, adapting our ancient brain's ways of processing other humans to our modern context. |

Unlocking the Superpowers of Prospection and Creativity
At the top of the PRISM pyramid sit two uniquely human superpowers: prospection and creativity. Never before have these two skills mattered as much for our success as they do today. In this seminar we'll understand what these skills are and how they work; what hinders and what helps; and why they are essential for performance in the whitewater world of work. Each of us has strengths and challenges as innovators and prospectors, come ready to consider your own.
