Dr. David R. Heimbecker is a graduate of Brown University and Boston University. He is licensed in multiple educational specialties, a credentialed Executive Coach, and a Founding Fellow of the Institute of Coaching based at McLean Hospital, which is an affiliate of Harvard Medical School.
David’s coaching practice blends decades of academic and executive leadership experience in the social sciences and corporate sectors. At the present time, his clients are educational, non-profit, and corporate executives. David is a deep learner who strives to engage in thought-partnering relationships that produce change making. He specializes in supporting a wide spectrum of leadership and organizational development, leading from the middle, team building, succession, legacy, and disengagement planning.
Teaching doctoral interns and postdoctoral students is a source of continuous learning and enjoyment for Dr. Heimbecker. As a lifelong learner and leader, he passionately informs his practice with lessons learned from the convergence of the cognitive and neurosciences, mind/body studies, and coaching. He believes that deep thinking and purpose driven practice greatly enhance the possibility of lifelong success.
