My name is Amy Knott Parrish and I'm a Personal Development Coach. (PCC, CPC, ELI-MP) I have my own coaching practice called AKP Coaching. Helping people be the fullest expression of who they uniquely are today is why I became a life coach. I believe that when we are our true selves we naturally create a better life for ourselves and our community, and that makes the world a better place.

I quit drinking on December 7, 2012 after many years of being a functioning blackout drinker. I created my own recovery through writing, reading, connection, and one on one therapy. Getting and staying sober is the defining event in my life. It's the thing I knew I needed to do for years, but I thought I had to go to AA, and rehab, and take on another identity to be able to quit drinking. I didn't want to be more of a person I wasn't, hiding behind another set of instructions. I wanted to remember how be ME. That's what my clients want too.

My favorite food is toast, and I'm not afraid of snakes or spiders.
