A psychologists by training, Angela Maria has always been fascinated by the diversity, richness and idiosyncrasies of human behavior, as well as the capacity of people to adapt and transform while facing the most unprecedented circumstances. She started her career helping multinational corporations negotiate with union leaders, before moving on to train, develop and manage engineers and contractors in remote regions in Colombia. She completed a Masters degree in Higher Education Administration, was the Headmistress of a British-Colombian School and the Executive Vice-president and Manager of Organizational Development of a software company. After many years working in companies, she was ready for a new challenge and started her own practice over 15 years ago.

She has ample experience in executive and leadership Coaching, family business dynamics, and team development and management. She has worked with some of the most established families in Panama and with numerous industry leaders in the country. Angela has specialized in designing and helping implement family and business succession plans, conflict resolution protocols, management transition and cultural restructuring programs.She also founded the Panama ICF Chapter and has served as President for the past year.

During her time living among indigenous communities she learned the value of collective experience and the power of storytelling. As an educator she was reminded to never ceased to be surprised and that creativity can be a powerful communication tool.  

As a coach she has become particularly interested in deepening her understanding of human resistance to change while trying to improve her abilities to motivate her clients to confront their fears and defy the limits that are preventing them from growing into better versions of themselves.
