Beth earned a J.D. from Boston University School of Law, a M.A. from Boston University School of Psychology, and a B.A. from Wesleyan University cum laude. When awarded the Walkley Prize for “excellence in psychology for best work embodying original research” on her Wesleyan University Honors Thesis she became aware that innovative thinking could always have a valued place in her work. When elected President of her Class and given the honor of delivering the Commencement Address, Beth experienced for the first time, the responsibilities and thrill of leadership and public speaking on a big stage.
Beth background in psychology, law, business, leadership, and grassroots organizing are a strong foundation for her coaching practice.
Prior to establishing Masterman Executive Coaching, Beth was a senior level, public affairs consultant (public relations and government relations) performing multiple advisory roles for business owners, senior executives, board committees, and elected officials. Her roles covered a broad range of leadership areas including: goal setting, project management and implementation, providing state, local, and executive lobbying, strategic communication services, political coalition building, drafting of legislation and testimony, public speaking, community organizing, and team building. Among the clients she served included: The New England Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Vinfen, Advanced Power Services (Brockton Clean Energy), Sithe Industries, and Lehman Brothers. She also worked as Director of State Relations for Brightfields Development LLC, a premier Solar Power Development company in Massachusetts.
Beth earned a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from William James College (formerly known as Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology) and is certified to administer and interpret MBTI and DISC. She brings her dedication, creative analysis, and experience to every coaching engagement.

Beth has spent many years serving in the public sector. Presently, she is an elected Town Meeting Member in Lexington, MA and serves on the Appropriation Committee. In the past, Beth practiced law as General Counsel to Massachusetts State Senator John D. O’Brien, and an Assistant District Attorney in Norfolk County for William Delahunt.
Beth is an active member and Group Leader for ProVisors® – a community of professionals who serve their clients as trusted advisors and share the highest standards of integrity, performance, and accountability.
She is married to Martin Pentz and lives in Lexington, MA. Beth has three adult children and two adult step-children, all of whom she is very proud!
