Dr. Orr is an Organizational Psychologist, certified leadership coach, and a faculty at the UT Health McGovern Medical School Department of Neurosurgery. Leading the Neurosurgery Residency Leadership and Coaching program, she also provides one-on-one coaching. Implemented in 2017, this innovative leadership and coaching program incorporates formal leadership training curriculum into the neurosurgery residency post graduate curricula providing an exploration of critical thinking, multi-disciplinary collaboration, reflection, learner assessment, and feedback. With a coach’s guidance in a safe but challenging environment, resident can take risks, learn, and practice new leadership skills as they advance through seven years of the neurosurgery residency program.
