David Slocum, Ph.D., is Academic Director and Program Adviser at RARE for Google, where he supports diverse talent in the creative, design, media, and technology industries. His priorities in that position are to enable and give voice to young and mid-career diverse creative talent through inspiration, skill development, and related learning; to sustain networks of encouragement and material assistance; and to educate and advise industry, notably senior leaders and other decision-makers, about the business case for diversity and inclusion. David is also Visiting Professor and Academic Advisory Board Member at the Berlin School of Creative Leadership, where he was previously the Faculty Director. Based in Paris, David designs and facilitates training programs worldwide, and is a certified executive coach, focusing on leadership, learning, diversity and inclusion, and business creativity.
