James L. Roussin has worked as an assistant superintendent, adjunct professor and language arts teacher.

He has been a teaching associate for Human Systems Dynamics (an institute that is using complexity theory to impact system-wide improvement).

He is currently an International trainer for Adaptive Schools, Cognitive Coaching, Teacher Leadership Development, QLD (quality leadership by design), and Strategic Planning 

Jim has authored numerous articles and he is the co-author of three books: Implementing Change Through Learning: Concerns-Based Concepts, Tools, and Strategies for Guiding Change (2013) & Guiding Professional Learning Communities: Inspiration, Challenge, Surprise, and Meaning (2010) and recently published; Transforming Teamwork: Cultivating Collaborative Cultures.
