Karen Ward is a Human Resources Leader and Certified Executive Coach with over 12 years progressive leadership experience developing high-performing teams and 20 years experience supporting individuals' personal and professional development. Karen’s passion is empowering organizations to develop a culture of trust, integrity and leadership at all levels. As a coach, Karen’s focus is on coaching her clients to take action towards achieving success and happiness at work and at home. A champion for personal, professional and organizational success and well-being, Karen serves mandates related to: organizational design, development and wellness; career and leadership development; employee engagement, culture, and team building; and work-life engagement. Karen is passionate about helping organizations establish leadership pipelines through growing leaders and creating space, opportunity and experiences for employees to establish a supported career path. Karen brings a multi-disciplined focus to her work. She draws from emotional intelligence, applied behaviour analysis, positive psychology, neuroscience, and psychometrics to help clients strengthen their personal awareness and build new skills to authentically navigate the complexities, opportunities and goals within their work and personal life. Credentials: Karen has been taking a coach approach to supporting others for over 5 years. She is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources, a Certified Executive Coach and member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Karen holds certification in psychometric assessments including Lumina Spark, Team and Leader (360) which she utilizes for individual development and team workshops. In her coaching practice, Karen’s approach is aligned with the standards of the ICF and commits to integrity and the Code of Ethics – putting the client’s interests at the forefront and driver of the agenda. Karen earned a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University, Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia, majoring in psychology and biology, and Advanced Diplomas in Human Resource Management and Leadership as well as Applied Behaviour Analysis. Earlier in her career she led a rewarding Behavioural Consulting practice.
