Lisa Wilder-Cappoli, MS, CHWC, CPT, RYT

Certified Health and Wellness Coach

Lisa is a Certified Health and Wellness Coach from the Wellcoaches School of Coaching, endorsed by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM).  She is a Fellow Member, IOC, at McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School affiliate and is a contributing writer for webinar blog posts for the IOC.  

Since the pandemic (March 2020) Lisa has pivoted to 100% Virtual. Lisa is a Digital Health Coach with Palo Alto based TaskHuman, a state-of-the-art artificial intelligence (AI) technology that is mobile app based for 1-on-1 live coaching using a Smart Phone for coaching anywhere in the world. She has also been an integral part the Wellness team of YMCA of the Triangle since 2013 in a variety of capacities as a health coach, personal trainer, instructor and leader of an evidence-based YMCA of the USA Cancer Survivor program called LiveStrong at the YMCA.  Lisa also enjoys teaching livestream Vinyasa Yoga with the YMCA as well as filming and editing her own yoga videos for an award-winning regional yoga studio. 

Lisa brings solid experience and educational training in the health, wellness, nutrition and fitness industries. She brings a strong understanding of medical science to her health coaching, having enjoyed a successful career in life sciences and medical marketing, advertising, public affairs and broadcasting (television and radio health reporting, hosting and producing).  

When not coaching or teaching, Lisa can be found enjoying walks and playing fetch with her ShihTzu dog, exploring the beauty around her with family, friends, hiking and biking along the coast or mountains. Being on or in the water swimming, sailing, paddle boarding or kayaking or the excitement of finding her way around a new city or countryside and learning the language of where she's traveling to are all things Lisa enjoys.

  • YMCA of the USA Certifications in evidence-based programs: LiveStrong at the YMCA and Moving for Better Balance (A Tai-Chi based falls prevention program)
