Michael brings over 25 years of hands-on experience as a senior leader, certified executive coach, team facilitator, strategic organizational and talent development consultant, trainer, and speaker. His ability to ask the right questions and think creatively & strategically gives those he works with a competitive advantage in developing winning strategies for their future and the future of their teams and organization. Michael’s passion for developing leaders and helping them move beyond their perceived limitations has led him to the development of dynamic, effective and measurable coaching and training engagements. Michael’s work has allowed him to coach, train, advise, and consult with leaders in a variety of industries including technology, financial services, credit unions, manufacturing, higher education, public and government agencies, non-profits, defense contractors, staffing, and communications.

Michael has developed exceptional skills and offers perspective as an executive advisor, coach, consultant, speaker, and trainer. His style is best described as strategic, experiential, practical, challenging, direct, image driven, and action oriented. He is committed to the learning process and transformation of the individuals, teams, and organizations he serves. 

Michael earned a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Biola University graduating with Highest Honors. He is a Certified Coach, Certified Leadership Circle 360 & Leadership Culture 360 Assessment Facilitator, Certified Change Management Practitioner (PROSCI), Strength Deployment Inventory Facilitator, Graduate of the Dynamic Communicators Workshop and Adjunct Professor. 

COACHING BACKGROUND

Michael has successfully completed over two hundred hours of coach specific training. Additionally, he has facilitated over two-thousand hours of coaching with executives and high potential leaders in both one to one and group coaching sessions. Michael has authored and developed three dynamic, effective and measurable coaching models throughout the past fourteen years which has led Michael to the creation of the 5 Frame Coaching process. Most recently, Michael developed the 5 Frame Coaching: Developing the Manager as Coach training program and has trained and certified over one hundred managers during the programs first year.

FACILITATION/TEACHING BACKGROUND

As a professional facilitator Michael is committed to building on his clients’ strengths, his approach focuses on triple-loop learning as clients pursue leadership mastery and organizational & cultural transformation. Michael has authored numerous enterprise-wide leadership training programs, focusing on values alignment, servant leadership, managing people, and leading strategically. Michael also serves as an Adjunct Professor to MBA students teaching Leadership &  Human Resources Management. Michael has also been a speaker at the Public Agency Risk Managers Association Annual Conference, SHRM North County San Diego Chapter, Vision San Diego, The Classical Academies Executive Circle, and the Barney and Barney H.R. Academy.
