Today, as President of Vancouver College, a 100year old K-12 private boys school and the largest independent Catholic school in British Columbia, Michelle leads an exceptional team of educators; together, they help build young men who will be future leaders guided by strong values and principles. In her role, Michelle draws heavily on her executive coaching and leadership development work as Principal of Lighthouse Leadership, where she worked with a diverse group of business and community leaders.  Prior to founding her company in 2002, Michelle was the Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications for a leading international investment firm. 

In addition to her International Coaching Federation accreditation, Michelle holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (UBC), and two Masters degrees [Leadership Studies (RRU) + Adult Development (Fielding)]. She hopes to complete her doctoral studies in Organizational Change and Development with Fielding University in the future.

Michelle’s professional dedication also extends to her volunteer commitments as an active community builder. She has served on a variety of boards including Ronald MacDonald House, Vancouver Opera, the Vancouver YWCA, Vancouver College, Big Sisters of BC Advisory Board, BC Women’s Hospital and Health Center Foundation, The Minerva Foundation for BC Women, and was a government appointee to the Architectural Institute of British Columbia.  She is also a member of the Vancouver chapter of the International Women’s Forum, a global organization dedicated to supporting women leaders in all their endeavors.
