Philip is a founding partner of the The Silk Road Partnership, which provides a range of coaching, mentoring, talent and leadership consulting services across Asia, the Gulf and Europe. He has over 25 years experience in the coaching and mentoring arena and was fortunate to have been trained by one of the pre-eminent Inner Game coaches.

He works with senior individuals and emerging leaders at critical transition points in their careers or their firm's development, to enhance their commercial performance and enable them successfully to achieve personal goals.  He has a passion for helping people and seeing them realise their full potential in the context of their business.

This involves providing support and guidance for clients in situations when they are facing a fresh challenge and need to refocus or re-energise; when moving into a key leadership role through lateral hire, promotion or relocation; contexts where more effective relationships would support enhanced performance; or when moving on from and exiting their current firm and transitioning to a new mainstream corporate role or portfolio career path where they can become high-profile alumni - this may include non-executive appointments.  Philip & colleagues also work to assist with secondments overseas, helping to ensure successful integration or re-integration of key talent.

His sector experience is very broad and includes a high level of expertise working in financial and professional services. He has gained deep experience working with a broad range of businesses that reflect the global interconnected nature of the sectors he typically works within. He has worked with people from all continents and more than 40 nationalities.

He has combined his coaching practice with commercial experience, having been involved in founding, starting up, selling a number of businesses in the human capital sector, often being responsible for creating new or refreshing existing brands.  He co-founded and led one of the non-search practices of one of the UK’s leading headhunting firms, and after its acquisition by an international rival helped lead an MBO to create a new consulting firm.  A richly varied set of life experiences includes leadership positions in military, political, educational and charitable spheres.
