Susan Oldrid, has enjoyed a career that has progressed from individual contributor to senior executive, demonstrating an understanding and application of the functional, strategic, and leadership competencies required to lead within highly innovative, complex organizations. Her specialties include: strategic planning, executive/team coaching, leadership/team assessments,and retreat design and facilitation. Her coaching and leadership practice is rooted in emotional intelligence, appreciative inquiry, and strengths-based leadership.

In her roles as a principal of her own consulting/coaching firm and as a former Vice President with Graham-Pelton Consulting, a global non-profit fundraising and management firm, Susan provided executive and team coaching, strategic planning, board development, and resource development consulting services to organizations throughout the United States including: 

AFS International Programs, USA, Abby’s House, Children’s Advocacy Center of Bristol County, Good Samaritan Medical Center, Green Mountain College, Lifespan Healhcare, Leadership Southcoast, Nebraska Medicine, Newport Hospital, Signature Healthcare, Trocaire College, Women’s Fund of Southeastern, MA, and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy Alumni Association.

In her 13 years of service to Saint Anne’s Hospital, a member of Steward Healthcare, Susan served  as Vice President, Development and Vice President of Mission and Community Partnerships and developed into a leader comfortable and successful integrating high-level strategy with a “boots on the ground” approach to deliver what is needed, when needed.  Through leadership of programs/teams during a highly complex acquisition, Susan developed a multi-dimensional understanding of effectively leading others through transformational change and the demands of its new performance expectations and metrics. During this time, she was recognized for her ability to maintain, and inspire in others, high levels of positivity, professionalism, loyalty and performance. The breadth and depth of this experience is one of the greatest assets she offers to her clients and one that she is most passionate about leveraging to support her clients in advancing any change effort, be it personal or organizational.

Susan is certified to administer EQi 2.0 and EQ 360 to asses emotional intelligence.  She is trained to design and facilitate the Appreciative Inquiry Summit, a whole system strategic planning approach for positive organizational change, receiving this training from The Corporation for Positive Change, whose founder and president, Diana Whitney, Ph.D., is described as one of the top five thought leaders in the field of Appreciative Inquiry. 

Susan received her BA in psychology from Bridgewater State University and completed a graduate program in Executive and Professional Coaching in the School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas.
