Alyssa McGonagle

Alyssa McGonagle, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. She received a Harnisch Grant from the Institute of Coaching in 2011 to conduct a study of the effectiveness of coaching for individuals who are working with chronic health conditions. Her research focuses on individual and workplace factors that affect workers` health, safety, and well-being. Her work has been published in the Journal of Applied Psychology, the Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, and the Journal of Business and Psychology, among others. In addition to the Institute of Coaching, she has received grant funding for her work from the SIOP Foundation and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.
