Joy is a certified coach with the International Coach Federation and a certified physician development coach.  Her over 35 years’ healthcare experience in both community-based and academic medical centers provides real world knowledge of the challenges facing physicians and health care leaders today. Joy’s mission is to inspire leaders to reconnect with their purpose to improve care for all.  She is passionate about making healthcare healthier for those who work within healthcare and for those who are served by healthcare.

Joy served as President of the International Coach Federation Maryland Chapter in 2017 and ended her term as Immediate Past President in 2018.  She designed and led a multi-year succession planning, development experience for seven high potential leaders that integrated vertical development; pre/ post measures of success, a strategic simulation and polarity thinking.  Her passion is working with her SixSEED Partners Team to disrupt succession planning, in service to increasing systemic leadership capacity through an intentional deliberate developmental culture.

Joy is President of Viewfinder Coaching and Consulting, LLC (www.viewfindercoaching.com), is a Founding Partner with SixSEED Partners (www.sixseedpartners.com) and is an Executive and Physician Leadership Coach.  Joy’s work has included executive, leadership and physician coaching to support culture change and improve team effectiveness. She has created and implemented executive onboarding systems to ensure successful assimilation to new roles and organizations. She has facilitated process improvement and rapid cycle change teams. Joy is also a mentor coach for the institute for transformational leadership.

Joy’s background in nursing, leadership and organizational development, and process improvement, and over 30 years’ of healthcare experience makes her an expert in the dynamics impacting healthcare and physician leaders.
