Webinar: Power of Curiosity

For many coaches, there are universal issues that their clients face: relationships in and out of work that are on the fritz, the affliction of doomscrolling and lack of engagement, navigating major loss and grief, and being held back by past hurts, that extend all the way to childhood. In order to move through these pain points and unleash connection, healing, and personal growth, coaches must find a way to explore topics that elicit BIG feelings in their clients, like fear, anxiety, and discomfort.

Thankfully, there's one capability that we're all born with, that we can level up like a muscle, that can help us to courageously face the challenges in our lives: curiosity. It's a practice that, according to evidence-based research, has the promise to improve our relationships, well-being, happiness, and life satisfaction. However, in order to gain all of these benefits, we can't just use a run-of-the-mill curiosity like "ask more questions." We have to practice what researcher and author Scott Shigeoka calls "deep curiosity": a search for understanding that transforms us from the inside-out. In this webinar, Scott shares what deep curiosity is, how to practice it yourself, and how to inspire your clients to do the same through his four-phase "DIVE" model—Detach, Intend, Value, Embrace—so that we can all build the courage to be transformed for the better by the people, places, and experiences we encounter.
