Joy Beatty is Academic Department Head and Associate Professor of Management in the College of Business at Eastern Michigan University. Her research areas are disability and chronic illness in the workplace, diversity, careers, and management education. She and her co-authors, Alyssa McGonagle and Rosalind Joffe, received a 2012 grant from the Institute of Coaching for their research on a chronic illness workplace coaching intervention. She has served on the Executive Committee of the Gender and Diversity Division of the Academy of Management, and is an Associate Editor for Journal of Management Education.
