EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Johan is a licensed Psychologist, Board Certified Coach, organizational advisor and a leader, with 20+ years of experience in leadership assessment and development. His experience working with people from a wide range of backgrounds continues to reinforce the idea that people can and do change when applying learning and development principles. Johan is an expert in the use of assessments and coaching in organizations and has published in these areas. His expertise includes assessment for talent identification and development, succession planning, executive and team coaching, executive integration, coaching skills workshops and leadership development programs. Johan’s leadership experience includes several years as a US Army Officer, followed by leadership roles in a global executive development organization, where he led a global team and coached and trained individuals and teams in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Clients range from regional companies to Fortune 100 organizations.

BACKGROUND AND INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

Johan founded Table Mountain Consulting Group, PLLC in 2016 to be a world class provider of assessment, coaching and leadership development solutions. Johan’s coaching and consulting approach is informed by his background as a clinical and family systems psychologist, Army special operations psychologist and consultant in a global executive development organization. In addition to his private sector coaching and consulting, Johan continues to enjoy supporting the Army Special Operations community with assessment for selection and leadership development services. Johan has worked with individuals, teams and organizations in the public and private sector across a range of diverse industries such as manufacturing, chemical, financial services, professional services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, retail, technology and government agencies. As a channel partner for Paradigm Personality Labs, Johan has led assessment certification workshops for independent consultants and internal Talent Management leaders in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Johan grew up in South Africa and Upstate New York, spent time in Germany during college and has lived in the Pacific Northwest and the Southeastern U.S. Johan maintains a Secret DoD clearance.

  • Executive Coaching – CEO of specialty chemicals company. Focus: Leading strategically and building a more collaborative leadership team to better execute the business strategy.
  • Executive Coaching ­– HR VP of a regional healthcare organization. Focus: Developing people and driving culture change.
  • Executive Coaching – CEO of an International manufacturing company. Focus: improving his ability to give and receive feedback; developing an inquiry-based “leader-coach” approach to model and drive collaboration and innovation in support of the business strategy.
  • Coaching Skills for Leaders – Three-day customized skills-based workshop for Senior Directors and VP’s in a global manufacturing company, focused on building their coaching skills to support a more robust talent pipeline.
  • Assessment Center – $14B global diversified manufacturer. Focus: Design and deliver a three-tiered assessment center for development and talent identification, with the aim of strengthening the GM leadership pipeline.  
  • Assessment for High Potential – $70B leading American retailer. Assessment and development planning for high performing VP’s, to assess potential for SVP and corporate officer roles.
