Karel Hilversum is a sought-after professional leadership coach and trusted advisor for leaders from around the world. He draws on his formal academic formation (Masters and Doctoral level studies in Organizational Leadership), his higher education leadership practice at an Ivy League academic institution, and his 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur, leader, trainer, coach, professor, and writer.

Every year, Karel coaches leaders in many of the world’s leading start-ups, fast-growing organizations, and Fortune 100 companies. As an Ivy League educator, he serves as a Faculty of Leadership and teaches leadership and team development to undergraduate and graduate students at Cornell University. Mr. Hilversum has trained and coached hundreds of senior executive leaders. ​

Mr. Hilversum holds a master's degree in Experiential Education and Leadership from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and is completing his doctoral studies as a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He is the former Director of the Cornell Team & Leadership Center at Cornell University, where he oversaw the leadership development of over 6,000 students every year. His areas of expertise include leader derailment, leadership styles, emotional agility, team collaboration, and inclusive leadership.
