OVERVIEW
Kevin is a relationship focused, results-orientated expert in people, culture and organisation transformation and turnarounds with 18 years in non-executive roles and 40 years in the professional and financial services, education, charity and healthcare sectors. He is particularly effective in organisations where the key business driver is the attraction, retention and development of world class talent. Kevin makes sound judgements based on business imperatives, with an empowering management style which makes him fun to work with. 
 
APPROACH
Kevin’s collaborative style, strong relationship building skills and ability to ask insightful questions and deal sensitively with conflict makes him an inspiring and motivating leader. He is able to stand back and see the big picture, helping businesses make strategic decisions which deliver significant transformations. Kevin is also deeply knowledgeable in balancing innovative diversity, equity and inclusion programmes with the requirement for results and his calm and thoughtful approach make him a supportive coach and mentor.

 

CAREER
Kevin’s career began at Boots plc (now Walgreens Boots Alliance) in recruitment and then in HR roles in Abbey National, EY and Capital One and as Global Human Resources Director at one of the world’s pre-eminent international law firms, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP. 

As Global Director of People and Culture at Norton Rose Fulbright and then Chief People Officer at KPMG LLP, Kevin’s broad experience helped provide leadership through the pandemic, overseeing the well-being response and transition to hybrid working. He has now moved to a consultancy role, providing advisory services to Boards and executive teams alongside his NED, Chair and Trustee responsibilities. He is on the boards of The Law Society and Dimensions (a social care organisation) and he acts as an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Adviser to Wellcome Trust.

COACHING QUALIFICATIONS
Kevin is currently refreshing his coaching qualification, with Meyler Campbell.

AWARDS
Kevin was voted one of the ‘Most Influential HR Practitioners 2022 – HR Magazine’ and has been named as one of the ‘Top 35 Advocates in the INvolve Heroes Women Role Models List 2021 & 2022’, which showcases leaders who are championing women in business and driving change for gender diversity in the workplace. He was also named as one of the Top 50 Ally Executives in the Outstanding LGBT+ Role Models List 2022.

PERSONAL
Outside of work Kevin devotes time to pro-bono activities. For example he is currently a Trustee on the Board of two Multi-Academy Trusts both based in East London. Kevin lives in Ealing with his wife Shami. He has two adult children from his first marriage. A proud Geordie, Kevin is a devoted supporter of Newcastle United.
