Mike Werder is an expert in facial expressions, body language, impact, and profiling, based in Switzerland. All in all, he is an expert in emotional intelligence. To have good contact with your interlocutors is one of the top prerequisites for being successful, both professionally and privately. As the academic director of the Eilert Academy / The science of emotions branches in Switzerland and Austria, Mike trains and coaches different professional categories like psychologists, sales, leaders, and trainers to see signals and to understand people's behavior better. Understanding people’s behavior and thinking need 3 competencies. These 3 are:

  1. Empathy: You recognize exactly the facial expressions of your counterpart. You understand the meaning of the emotion and you understand the meaning of it. For example, there are 7 facial objections in mimicry. If you see one of them you can respond accordingly.
  2. Creating Impact: Within 100 milliseconds you will be assessed by your counterpart. You can influence these 100 milliseconds, to create the first impression you want to have. You act from within and avoid rhetorical gestures that are not authentic.
  3. Profiling: The non-verbal signals tell you the personality traits of your counterpart. This gives you quick access to the person to understand the need and the motives in behavior. This is a very valuable diagnostic tool in sales, management, recruitment, and everywhere where people get in touch.

By mastering these 3 points, Mike's customers can interact people based. Furthermore, they have another advantage. They recognize, e.g. during a job interview or a negotiation, incongruencies between body language and the spoken word.

Mike is a kind of science nerd. Everything he does, have to be proven by scientific studies. Especially in the body language area are a lot of myths existing. The approach of the Eilert Academy is based on more than 1’300 studies.
